![]() I gotta tell you this is a better movie than the original because Manny gets a wife. Sid you know is still funny but it can get annoying. I was shocked when he went in the water to save the Opossums Crash and Eddie and the ground sloth sid. Diego the Saber tooth tiger (my favorite) is trying to conquer his fear of water. But Manny does not like her yet until the end. But he meets Ellie which thinks she is an opossum. Manny the Mammoth is very sad still that is family was killed by humans his wife and kid. This is is about climate change which teaches kids that when warm temperatures come there is water and it melts the ice. So this sequel is the best in the ice age franchise. This movie is not worth your time nor your money. I would've given it 1, but I did enjoy seeing Manny, Diego, and Sid interacting again. There is some language, such as mentions of "crap" and " ass". Some parts of those sequences were just plain gross, like Scrat getting his head pecked in by a vulture. All of the sequences with Scrat the hybrid squirrel, I found to be stupid and boring. There were a lot of things in Ice Age: The Meltdown that weren't necessary to the plot, just thrown in the movie, like : Sid and the mini sloths, and Sid' s summer camp. I know they're only animals, but I hated this part because A.) Who teaches their kids to hit and beat? and B.) It's a bad influence for kids. In the beginning, there's a sequence of a bunch of young kids beating Sid with a stick. It wasn't really funny, and the main characters are constantly in peril, or on death's door. I was deeply annoyed by the 3 new characters- Ellie, Crash, and Eddie. if you can ignore everything in the disaster half. (Even though he's at pretty much the same point as at the end of the first movie.) Half the jokes are clean and funny. Manny's character is also changed for the better. Diego's character might be ruined, but at least he stands up for Manny, Sid, and it gets fixed by the end. Reasonable plot, I guess, even if it's mocking The Flood. There will NOT be a heaven made of acorns, and it will not be for just one person! a heaven for Scrat?! Seriously?! Absolutely terrible. but a geyser cooks a bird? And now the sea creatures are trying to kill Manny. Now Sid is being worshiped as a god?! The Mini-Sloths are going to sacrifice him by throwing him into a pit of lava?! We have buzzards being happy that the animals are going to die?! And honestly, that is terrible! They're mocking The Flood and Noah's Ark! And, okay. and now Diego's character is ruined?! And not very great at all, some innuendos now. and now we have a mammoth that thinks she's a possum?! (She's like, 200X bigger than a possum, you think she'd notice!) Crash and Eddie are very rude/mean to Sid and Diego. ![]() ) Everyone seriously thinks Manny is the very last mammoth?! Dung beetles use the word c**p for dung. (Not explicitly shown, but empty shell is seen. And what happened to Manny's character?! He's right where he was at the beginning of Ice Age, only now he has two friends! And now there's some really creepy sea creatures a turtle gets eaten by them. why are kids beating up Sid? And now a burro/a** thing and all the kids (young animals in the movie) are laughing at it. So our three heroes, along with Ellie, Crash and Eddie, form the most unlikely family as they embark on a mission across an ever-changing, increasingly dangerous landscape.Well, we were just in the Ice Age, and now it's all melting?! And where did the valley they're all living in come from? Okay. When a huge glacial dam holding off oceans of water is about to break, threatening the entire valley, the only chance of survival lies at the other end of the valley. Ellie comes with some excess baggage in the form of her two possum friends Crash (Seann William Scott) and Eddie (Josh Peck), a couple of daredevil pranksters and cocky, loud-mouthed troublemakers. The only problem being that they can't stand each other. ![]() That is until he miraculously finds Ellie (Queen Latifah), the only female mammoth left in the world. In fact, Manny thinks he may be the last one. Manny is ready to start a family, but nobody has seen another mammoth for a long time. Manny the woolly mammoth (voice of Ray Romano), Sid the sloth (John Leguizamo), Diego the saber-toothed tiger (Denis Leary), and the hapless prehistoric squirrel/rat known as Scrat (Chris Wedge) are back in this sequel to the popular 2002 film. ![]()
